If you cannot afford to see a doctor, and do not have medical insurance, you can contact a Federally Qualified Health Center or a Rural Health Center for help.

A Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is a public or private non-profit health care provider offering low cost primary and preventative care services to all age groups. Some FQHCs may also offer dental services, mental health and substance abuse services, and other specialty care. Costs are based on income and family size, but services are available regardless of ability to pay.

A Rural Health Clinic (RCH) is a public or private health care provider offering out-patient primary care services and basic laboratory services to Medicare and Medicaid recipients in underserved rural areas. RHCs use a team approach of physicians and midlevel practitioners, such as nurse practitioners and physician assistants, to provide services. An RHC may be either a stand-alone clinic or part of a hospital, nursing home, or other health care provider.

Patients must be residents of Tuscarawas or Coshocton County and must not be eligible for Medicaid.
